As most of you know, the July 4th Tour for Tucson's Children has been canceled this year. Sabino Cycles is picking up the torch and having a shop ride that leaves from TCC at 6:30am. They will follow the regular 27 mile route and have munchies at the ride's end. Click here for the link to the Tour for Tucson's Children. Click here for a map.

Sabino Cycles is accepting donations for the children's fund. Make checks out to: Tucson Parks and Rec East District and they will see that they get passed along.

Out of Town!

Have you ever thought of volunteering to help on an overnight ride? Volunteers are much needed and much appreciated! They are what make our GABA rides so successful!

Think about it! You would get a weekend out of the heat of the desert and away from the city traffic! You would be spending 2 or 3 days rejuvenating in the cooler temperatures of higher elevation forests and meadows!

Here is what GABA Volunteers get in exchange for some very easy work:

- .35 cents per mile for traveling from their home and back

- Motel accommodations and meals

Who can beat that? It's almost a vacation!

Volunteers also get GABA Bucks, according to which job they do on the ride. See the Volunteer Section on the Website for the break-down of the GABA-Bucks.
