Owls Head Butte Century
Sunday, February 10, 2019
Distances 104 mile, 64 mile, 35 mile Out & Back
Start/Finish: Ora Mae Harn Park, 13250 N. Lon Adams Rd, Marana, AZ 85653

The Owls Head Butte Century has been a wonderful ride for the past few years from the Picacho Peak Century to what it is now in the Marana area. Supported Rides at GABA is retiring the Owls Head Butte Century in order to develop a new ride in a new location. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy this ride on February 5th, 2017.

The Owl Head Buttes consist of six Buttes or peaks of which all beg for your interest. The reward is wonderful views of Picacho Peak, The Catalina Mountains, and the suburban greater Tucson areas. The area is thick with Sonoran Desert vegetation. The only downside would be the power lines dissecting the Buttes

The long stretches of straight flat roads will be perfect for practicing group or pace-line riding skills. Not ready for that many miles? The 64 mile Loop and 35 mile Out & Back are fun alternatives. Pick the distance that suits you and come ride with us.

To have successful rides, we need members to volunteer to help with check-in/registration before the ride, operate a SAG stop, or drive a sweep vehicle to help cyclists. Learn more on the GABA Volunteering page and send questions to our Volunteer Coordinator, Susan Reed volunteer@bikegaba.org.
