Start location:  Sahaurita, AZ or Anywhere, USA

Distances: 100 Mile Loop/Out & Back, 70 Mile Out & Back, 30 Mile Out & back.
(Virtual Ride)

THE most popular GABA bicycle ride in Southern Arizona! Three options are available for riders from novice to very experienced cyclists.

What makes this such a GREAT ride?

• It's October in Tucson...perfect weather for a bicycle ride.

• With El Tour De Tucson a month away, it proves to be an excellent training ride.
• The route is a mixture of flat, rolling hills, and challenging climbs, all the while being very picturesque!
• Many cyclists record their best time for riding a century on this route!

Registration Closed

Course Overview & Maps

All route options run south through the scenic Santa Cruz River Valley, Tubac, and Tumacacaori Mission with distance options that will accommodate all levels of cyclists.

How it works:
1. Register on the GABA website. Registration fee for members and non-members is $25.00.

• Register to ride one of the 100 mile, 70 mile, or 30 mile distances.

If you like to ride with friends, invite them to register and join you on your ride as long as  there are less than 10 of you in a group and you maintain social distancing. You can't share miles but you can share in the experience.

2. Start your ride from any location in Sahaurita or Green Valley, or anywhere USA (we do encourage you to ride the Tumacacori Century route). You have a week to complete the Tumacacori Century Challenge. Challenge dates: Monday September 28th to Sunday October 4th, 5:00 pm.

3. This ride is on your own. There will be no volunteer support for this challenge and no Day of Registration.

4. Join the virtual community of fellow riders through our Strava Group, Greater Arizona Bicycling Association (GABA) Encourage your friends and talk smack about who will complete the challenge.

Log your ride in the GABA Strava Group.
Label your ride Tumacacori Century Challenge or Tumacacori Challenge.
Supported Rides will monitor the GABA Strava Group to see who has completed the Challenge.

Participants will receive:
50% Off a Crowler fill from Ten55 Brew and Sausage House.  Crowler is a 32-ounce aluminum vessel meant to keep your favorite beers fresh until you decide to drink it.
(Participants will receive a GABA 50% Off card to be used to receive your Crowler).
$4.00 Gift Card from MOD Pizza 30+ Toppings. 1 Price. Vegan/Vegetarian/GF options.

How to Join the GABA Club on Strava:
Go to the "Explore" tab at the top of your strava page, then click on "clubs". It will take you to a new page. There, type in "Greater Arizona Bicycling Association (GABA)" in the club name, then type in "Tucson" for location. Click "Cycling" then you can hit "search" . GABA should come up on the top of the list. Click on "Greater Arizona Bicycling Association" and it will take you to the Club page, there should be a "Join" button to join the club and that's it.

From there you can look over the club page to see the "leaderboard", "recent activity", "members'', and "posts" at the top of the page.  You will also see "This week's leaderboard" and "last week's leaderboard".

Whenever you ride and use Strava, your ride will automatically be loaded into the GABA club stats.
